Enipeas is a river running Litochoro. The breathtaking gorge of Enipeas is the most famous gorge of Olympus.
The springs of Enipeas are in the position "Prionia", at an altitude of 1.100m. Οι κολυμπήθρες (βάθρες) κατά μήκος του are natural pools with a water temperature a little above 0oC.
The international mountain path, after a route of 9km in length and a duration of about 5-6 hours, ends in the position "Myloi", at an altitude of 400m. The hiking trip is suitable for all ages and family vacation.
The historical Monastery of Agios Dionysios is situated to the northwest of Litochoro. The Holy Monastery was founded by Agios Dionysios and was dedicated to the Holy Trinity, following Divine revelation. Later on, the name of its founder predominated.
St. Dionysios created a monument of rare architectural and aesthetic beauty, ideally integrated into the natural environment, built as a fortress, from stone and wood, on a natural fortified plateau.
Thanks to St. Dionysios΄ blessings, despite the numerous destructions, the Monastery has been enjoying continuous life and monks΄ presence for about 500 years.
An extended coastal area known as Plaka is located east of the town of Litochoro, spreading from the foot of Olympus to the Thermaic Gulf and extending from Leptokarya in the south to Gritsa in the north. The coast mainly consists of sandy organised beaches and is a popular tourist attraction during summer.

The archeologists brought to light some findings that testified the existence of a brilliant and thriving civilization. Remains of an ancient theater, the sanctuaries of Dimitra, of Isida, of Dionissos and the Asklipio, streets with shops, the cemetery and the city walls,the Hellenistic and roman theater, the roman baths with lots of sculptures, palace findings, the Conservatory, as also a palaiochristianic basilica cemetery of outside the walls. Many of the findings are exhibited today in the Archeological Museum, in the village of Dion.
